<reviewbody>... I didn't have as detailed a view as I was use to for this one, I still thought they played well; being back in the grand stands, unlike 98% of other general admission shows, when I was in my usual slightly to the left facing the stage, about 1/3 back to the board, and most reserved seat shows, up front as well; because this was the show I got my Father, (God rest his Soul), any his second wife to join us. So I settled for a little tamer experience. They seemed to like it, genuinely ! Also I had got to listen to this as much as other Ventura shows, the only venue at which I was lucky enough to attend all of them.
As I've explained elsewhere I'm kind of partial to '82 and '84 Ventura but the sincerely were all reasonable to excellent ! I already went off about my feeling suruonding these on the previous one so I won't do that again.
The second set materal was well developed as I recall !</reviewbody>
<reviewtitle>It has stiff competion but quite good even though ...</reviewtitle>

<reviewbody>streamed it today at work on its' 20th anniversary...sounds pretty darn good to me...they seem to be in a happy place and playing well...ccs>rider is very tight and well played/sung, Samson pounds, JG really carries out the notes on SOF-very cool- and as previously stated, whole 2nd set will git r done! just "might as well" go ahead and burn!</reviewbody>
    <reviewtitle>nice suprise!</reviewtitle>

    <reviewbody>Well played, but fairly standard for '85. Certainly a long 2nd set.</reviewbody>

<reviewbody>If there are any better live performances of the Dead, please let me know. While this was my first show (wow, look at all that equipment...how many bands are playing today?), I still think it is their best live performance. 25 shows later I still am not able to match this one.</reviewbody>

<reviewbody>I was there. This high quality copy takes me
back to the wind, the dust, the train tracks,
and the 25'x60' Dead Minute-man 25th anniversary
banner. I got all tied up in knots during space, got untangled up , note by note with "Truckin'".
This could have been my last show and I would have rested easy knowing that I had seen the very best show ever! Just can anyone tell me an easy way to download shows from this archive? I can listen to them. But cannot download....a real mother!
But, again, this copy is exactly what I heard,
Previous day, Phil's bass was clipping and popping a lot on the Saturday show ("One More Saturday Night" opener)...don't hear it here.
Love it more if I could claim it on CD.

<reviewbody>Best damn day of my life. Still remember clearly the Hell in a Bucket home stretch - Weir tiltin' the head and roaring - and hooooolding the last notes that floated with the wind and the crowd in perfect hand clappin' rhythm. Had to be there...... The show goes on happily and snappily from there. Other notable was Looks Like Rain. I swear the coastal clouds were streamin' past the band 'bout 50 ft over their heads.</reviewbody>

<reviewbody>Ok, I don't get into the best of this or that stuff. This is a really nice show though. I am not an expert on the tech stuff either but the quality is good here as well. I know that some sbd can be a bit of balance but this one seems nicely done maybe tinkered with after the show? I would give this 4.5 if they had that option. Take listen I am sure you won't be sorry you did.</reviewbody>

<reviewbody>perfect separation of the drummers in each speaker; Phil is heard much clearer than on the recording of the prior show..

5 stars for the sound quality, 4 for the performance... boys are in ripe form.
could never figure out why people were tepid on Esau.. sounds pretty darn good here.</reviewbody>

<reviewbody>This show took place on the weekend of LIVE AID! Love this show! Full of energy and kick ass '85 jams! Here is a link to news coverage of the event with some funny hippies and cool concert footage. This is one of my favorite Might As Well's! Check out the video!
